Cyberpunk story. To escape from jail, the protagonist becomes part of "A systems link. A mini-Plateau. Sharing minds" via implanted computer chips. "Brutal intimacy" (143). After killing three guards, the protagonist knows "that they had reached the Plateau after all"—apparently a large systems link. He'll return there "now that he was one of the wolves" (150).
