Voidod
Voidod.
From Joshua Ellis via e-mail, 29 June 2004: "The Canadian heavy metal band 'Voidod' used a cybernetic metaphor in several of their albums. The name of the band itself, 'Voidod,' was supposed to be a super-human craqrure living in a syubernetic parallel universe; this metaphor is used heavily in their concept albums Dimension: Hatross and Nothingface" (see below).
From Wikipedia article:
Voivod is a Canadian heavy metal band from Jonquière, Quebec (now Saguenay, Quebec). The original line-up consisted of vocalist Denis "Snake" Bélanger, guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour, drummer Michel "Away" Langevin and bassist Jean-Yves "Blacky" Thériault. The band has had numerous members changes throughout its 41-year career, with Langevin as the only consistent member. [...] Starting out as a speed metal band, Voivod have added a mix of progressive metal and thrash metal to create their own unique metal style. Voivod [...] have been credited for helping pioneer the subgenre of "technical thrash metal".[1]
Nothingface. Montreal, Canada: Victor Studio, 1989. Length: 44:27.[2][3] The album cover is also of interest: a humanoid/robotic head and neck with pipes (?) going into and out of it, the top one to viewer left becoming a gallows for a Hanging Man figure.[4]
Dimension: Hatröss (1988): Among other versions, Noise Records Reissue, CD, 1993, reviewed by "Xyrth" 1 July 2018, at on-line Encyclopedia Metallum: The Metal Archives," as of 16 April 2023, available at link here.[5] Graphic here of interest, we assume one album cover: kind of a robotic pirate.
