FM covers most of Wells's works important for the study of the human/machine interface, with some esp. useful comments on ''[[The First Men in the Moon]]'' and ''The Time Machine]]'' and ''Time Machine'''s relationships to E. Bellamy's ''[[Looking Backward]]'' (q.v.), and William Morris' 1890 utopia, ''News from Nowhere'' (McConnell, ch. 3).
