Described by Sargent (1988; q.v. under Reference) as "Machine dystopia."[[1]] B. Stableford, Romance, says it shows part of the battle of a new Eve and Adam "to survive in a world now dominated by the monstrous machines which once served the city-dwellers" (196).[[2]] Cf. and contrast B.
