Super Force. Fox Television. Pilot broadcast 29 September 1990. Richard Compton, dir. USA: Universal (FL operations), 1990.

A virtual compendium of clichés from Doctor Who, Neuromancer, ROBOCOP, the Mad Max Trilogy, Max Headroom, James Bond movies, Hill Street Blues, and other works, with enough blatant allusions and overstatements that we know they know they're doing camp. Note for Patrick Macnee's character getting killed and then digitalized as a computer program (cf. and contrast TRON, and perhaps KITT in KNIGHT RIDER; both cited in this Category), and for the star as a superhero on a spiffy motorcycle and in a suit designed for planetary exploration. Note that the hero's initial, soon trashed suit is NASA-style modern, while his second suit is postmodern, cyberpunk street-wear.
