Title from the expression, "He who dies with the most toys wins." Mr. Data, the unique android, is the "toy" in question. Escape from the murderous collector involves Data in a conflict of programming and ethics: to save human lives and gain his own freedom, he acts to kill the collector; that he does not is pure coincidence. After the fact, Data does not exactly lie about his attempt at murder, but he does mislead.
