IGN Arts and Entertainment. "They Put a Sniper Rifle on a Robot Dog." 17 October 2021. [1]

"Two US weapons companies have collaborated & managed to strap a sniper rifle on to the back of a robot dog. The Quadrupedal Unmanned Ground Vehicle, or Q-UGV is designed to be 'unstoppable,' can fire out 1,200 meters, and is equipped with day and night sensors."

Cf. New York Post story with by-line of Paula Froelich, "Video shows creepy robot dog patrolling the streets at night in Canada," 26 September 2021 — although this robot dog was unarmed.[2]

Whether these stories hold up or not, it is significant that they are appearing in social media as part of what's been usefully called "the science-fictionalizing of everyday life."
