Wikipedia and IMDb entries classify as "Drama" and, more usefully Mystery and "Sci-Fi" for IMDb[2] and Wikipedia more usefully and respectfully adding Dystopia and Psychological thriller, and calling it Science fiction.[3]

Wikipedia gives the premise:

A biotechnology corporation, Lumon Industries, uses a mindwipe medical procedure called "severance" to separate the consciousness of their employees between their lives at work and outside of it. One severed employee, Mark (Adam Scott), gradually uncovers a web of conspiracy.[4]

The second episode shows that the "severance procedure" involves "implanting a microchip inside" a new employee's "brain": Episode 2, "Half Loop" (18 February 2022).[5] So note for motif of chip implant and its implications for surveillance and control.
