See D. Persons's articles in Cinefantastique 21.1 (July 1990) for pre-release coverage of the making of this (unworthy) sequel to ROBOCOP (q.v.). Note model work and well-designed Robo costume, the somewhat witty use of the black hand of Rotwang from F. Lang's METROPOLIS—both of Robo's arms and hands—and the presence of themes so important in a cyborg work that they are there whether developed or not, most esp. that ". . . Robo is really a metaphor for people in our society. They're becoming roboticized without knowing it" (Irvin Kershner, quoted in Cinefantastique 21.1: 22). A "Jove Book" is advertised, as is the soundtrack.
