IN SEARCH OF THE ULTRA SEX (original title A la recherche de l'Ultra-Sex). Nicolas Charlet and Bruno Lavaine, dir., script (although that gets complicated). France: Synecdoche (prod. and dist.), 2015. 59 minutes.

Described by Jen Yamato in Daily Beast (October 2015) as a compilation in the manner of Woody Allen's WHAT'S UP TIGER LILY (1966), "Cut together from dozens of vintage 1970s-1990s boom-chicka-wow-wow porn pulled from the archives of French broadcaster Canal+, the insane sci-fi XXX film In Search of The Ultra-Sex tells a shockingly cohesive science fiction narrative filled with disco robots, spaceship battles, roller skating sex, laser vaginas, and" other motifs, not relevant here. Yamato's article features a still from the film, where we watch two astronauts watching (although perhaps not always closely) at least three view-screens with a probably naked heterosexual couple kissing; so note for surveillance and "Videology."
