"Humanoids on the march." The Economist (London) 12 March 2005: 3-4. The Economist Technological Quarterly.

"Robotics: Humanoid robots are becoming every more advanced. Are the firms making them just interested in publicity, or are they chasing a new market?" The Economist answers its question by asserting that there is a lot of publicity to be had with humanoid robots, but also, just possibly, there may be a market for humanoid robots as "domestic helpers." Along the way to its commercial point, the article hits some high moments in the history of dramatic humanoid robots from R. U. R. through METROPOLIS to THE TERMINATOR (a cyborg with a robot chasis, to be exact).
