Brigg, Peter. "Gravity's Rainbow" entry in Survey of Science Fiction Literature (q.v., under Reference Works): 2.915-20.
The PB review-essay provides the usual "Master Plots" apparatus and plot summary, plus a list of Sources for Further Study and justification for dealing with Gravity's Rainbow as S. F. Relevant here, PB presents the V-2 rocket as "the mythical center of Gravity's Rainbow" (916) and notes that "any moment of tenderness is quickly subsumed to a mechanical instant in the implacable ballistic course of history" (918; see also 919).
