Futurama: INTO THE WILD GREEN YONDER
INTO THE WILD GREEN YONDER. Direct-to-DVD Futurama animated film. Peter Avanzino, dir. Ken Keeler, script. Released 24 February 2009, preceded by "Bender's Game" followed by "Rebirth". 84 minutes.
In addition to bringing together almost all the main characters in the series, see for a "Panopticon" for surveillance of prisoners[1] and for the scene in Leo Wong's New Las Vegas in which we see a the erotica of a Vegas floorshow with fembots (female gendered robots). Included in the show as throw-away gags for the film/TV audience are a shot of obliquely literalized burlesque "grinding"[2] and a sendup of a pornographic "money shot" as two of the fembots "move their hips on a gear until they are close enough to exchange a compact disc from one slot to another. The crowd applauds."[3] For quick-thinking viewers who remember elementary biology, the transfer of a data packet from one robot to another corresponds wittily with an ejaculation directing male genetic information in sperm toward one or more eggs.
