FANTASTIC VOYAGE. Richard Fleischer, dir. USA: 20th Century Fox, 1966. Otto Klement and Jerome Bixby (as Jay Lewis Bixby), story. David Duncan, adaptation. Harry Kleiner, script.

S.F. spy thriller, relevant here for shrinking a submarine until it is small enough to inject into a human being. See for images of miniature humans inside the sub (and sometimes swimming outside in SCUBA gear) inside a human body. The comparatively huge scale of a body seen by miniatures from within—makes strange that body. Lovingly parodied in parts of INNERSPACE and the Family Guy episode "Emission Impossible", and the two Archer episodes, "Drastic Voyage". There is a novelization by Isaac Asimov, returning to the original Klement and Bixby story.
