FAHRENHEIT 451 (1966)

The hero escapes a highly mechanized, urban world, where books are burned, to join a rural community where books are memorized and thereby preserved. Perhaps most interesting for the ambiguity in its presentation of the opposition of the wicked city and purer countryside (see entry in S. F. Ency.).

There was an HBO re-make in 2018, film script and direction by Ramin Bahrani. [1][2][3]
