DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO
DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO (Doragon boru supa supa hiro).[1] Tetsuro Kodama, director. Akira Toriyama, creator, script. Japan: Toei Company, Fox International Productions, Shueisha et al. (production) / Toei Company, Crunchyroll, 20th C. Studios et al. (distribution), 2022. See IMDb for complexities of the "et al." with production and distribution.[2] Japanese with English subtitles; also version dubbed in English. 100 minutes.
Animation, one in a series.[3]
Anime bluring of different boundaries, depending on one's culture, including supernatural and natural (SF), the Heroic and godlike; significant here for making explicit and foregrounded "androids" that are both familiar humanoid androids (think Mr. Data of ST:NG) but with robot aspects and superpowers. Also note cameo appearance, so to speak, of a cyborg bee, useful for surveillance and with a venom lethal to humans. (See Thomas Dunn and Richard Erlich's "The Ovion/Cylon Alliance" for connections between presentations of insects and robots.)
