WORKING

Cybersex. Richard Glyn Jones, editor. London, UK: Robinson Publishing (Raven Books), 1996. New York City: Carroll & Graff Publishers, 1996.[1] (We have used the US edition.)

Includes a Foreword by Will Self and an Introduction by the editor, and the stories listed below, arranged in Cybersex more or less in chronological order of the settings, from most recent ("Profit and Lust" is a time-travel story starting in the "now"; "Bots" is contemporary to the late 1990s USA) to the very far future ("Day Million," "the millionth day of the Christian era," which the "you" presumed reader is reminded is "farther removed from you than you are from the australopithecines of five thousand centuries ago" [p. 415]). Particularly relevant stories are cited and annotated under their titles, with internal links to the pages (probably in blue). The editor, Richard Glyn Jones, gives the criteria for inclusion as, mostly: "Cybersex in this context is [...] sex that depends to a greater or lesser extent on technology" (xv), with the stories "by some of the best writers to have considered the subject in the last thirty years or so" (xvi), i.e., from the mid-1960s into the 1990s. Unlinked stories — probably in red — are not immediately relevant, but we list all the stories for completeness.
