Peck, Keenen. "High-Tech House Arrest." The Progressive 52.7 (July 1988): 26-28.

"Each day and night, the movements of hundreds of Americans are electronically monitored by local and Federal authorities" in the increasingly popular program of "electronic home detention." The "Orwellian" possibilities are noted by KP (26); more direct analogies would be the handling of "Risks" in F. Pohl and J. Williamson's The Reefs of Space and convicts in the film THE RUNNING MAN (cited under Fiction and Drama respectively).
