Among other projects, SB very usefully attempts to relate BLADE RUNNER and some other films to works and theories in the graphic and plastic arts, using analyses by F. Jameson, V. Sobchack, and others. The essay is unquestionably useful on individual works; Brooks Landon—a reliable authority—found the theoretical portions worthy of study.
