CHERRY 2000. Steve De Jarnatt, dir. USA: Orion, 1989.

Near-future comedy parodying (among other things) dating bars, Westerns, high-tech souped up cars, James Bondish high-tech weaponry, post-holocaust films generally and A BOY AND HIS DOG and the Mad Max films more particularly. At film's end, the hero gives up his Cherry 2000 robot to fly off with the gutsy, macho tracker, E. Johnson (Melanie Griffith).
